The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) Solomon Islands hosted a one-day workshop at Heritage Park Hotel in Honiara on February 22, 2024, aimed at advancing the Coral Reef Rescue Project (CRR) in the Solomon Islands. The workshop, attended by government and non-government stakeholders, discussed the roles and responsibilities of the CRR National Coordinating Committee (NCC) and technical working groups, focusing on reducing threats to the nation’s most resilient coral reefs. Key outcomes included agreement on the establishment of the NCC, the formation of technical groups on an as-needed basis, and the drafting of terms of reference for upcoming project activities.
